Is it better to do an interview via email or phone call?

If I had a choice of doing an interview by phone or by email -- I'd always prefer phone. Live convos give me the chance to elaborate on a topic and I don't have to worry about grammar or run-on sentences. Convos also allow me to introduce a new topic for a future interview! 💡

There are some advantages to email though -- you can do them anytime (they don't need to be scheduled) and you have proof of the words you used so there's less of a chance of getting misquoted.

I've also noticed something interesting about podcast interviews: some of the best conversations happen before and after an interview takes place!! ✨
As a podcast guest and now a host, I’ve realized those convos of real talk, laughs, and aha moments make this whole journey so meaningful and inspiring.

You Asked, I Answered:

Question:

"I really want to start writing a story or even get quoted in one, but I keep procrastinating because I let imposter syndrome hold me back. What if my work isn’t good enough? What if I don't have enough experience? (Sorry for the long question!)"

Answer:

Imposter syndrome and procrastination hits us all...but we need to learn to rely on a more supportive voice within ourselves.

Confidence isn’t something you’re born with—it’s something you build. If you’ve ever felt stuck, like you’re not good enough or afraid to take the next step, trust me, you’re not alone. Those sneaky confidence killers? They love to show up just when you’re ready to shine. ✨

And yes, my favorite Thanksgiving recipe is media-related, too! It was featured in two publications this week and you can find the recipe on my website: Thanksgiving Challah-Day Stuffing Recipe

Get ready for one of my family's favorite dishes! I love the sweet, rich taste and texture of the challah used in this recipe along with the medley of sweet and savory flavors provided by the dried fruit, nuts and veggies nestled within.
